Wood and Furniture is one of the most common manufacturing sectors in the Area, with more than 12,000 companies and more than 72000 employees.

In 2012, the value of exports of this Area was over 11 billion euros, while the positive value of the Balance of Trade was almost 4.2 billion euros.

Companies are clustered into different areas with homogeneous production: art and classic furniture on the west side of Greater Venice Area, between the cities of Padua and Vicenza, and modern and modular furniture on the east side, between the City of Treviso and the east boundary of the Area.
